2. Jazz, Lyrical, Tap and Musical Theater
Attire: Fitted leotards, dance tanks, or sports bras paired with jazz shorts or leggings. Avoid baggy shirts that obscure your core and spine. Hair should be pulled back in a secured bun or ponytail depending on length of hair.
Shoes: Tan jazz shoes, half-soles, tap shoes, heels, or bare feet depending on the specific technique and studio rules.
3. Hip Hop and Street Styles
Attire: Comfortable, breathable, and looser-fitting clothing such as cargo pants, sweatpants, or tees, paired with dry-fit jerseys or tank tops. Hair should be pulled back and secured out of the face.
Shoes: Clean, non-marking street sneakers or dedicated hip-hop dance sneakers (never worn outside to protect the floor).
